Here we have some pictures sent in from Bob Rowland of his Standard Atlas Major camper conversion. It’s a 1962 model and one of only 10, originally converted from a minibus.

The conversion is an unusual design, not an official dormobile, but carried out by Calthorpe Coachbuilders Ltd of London.

Many thanks for the pictures Bob.
Finally a big thank you to the guys at Orangewheels.co.uk who supply new Nissan Cars for their assistance in providing free information and help with this site design.

This is Bijou, a 1965 Bedford CA Martin Walter Dormobile Debonair Camper Van bought in April 2007 by Barspeed.
She has given her owner all of the usual trials and tribulations you would expect from a classic dormobile, from electrical and mechanical problems to water leaks – all great fun! To quote her owner “Oh well, what else could go wrong?”
Bijou has her own blog website where you can read all about her adventures, you can visit it here: Bijou The Bedford.
Finally a big thank you to the guys at Orangewheels.co.uk who supply new Renault Cars for their assistance in providing free information and help with this site design.

This is Rooster, he’s a fantastic 1971 Type 2 Volkswagen camper dormobile that is for hire for those nice chaps at North Coast Campers.
His adventures may be appearing here shortly. In the meantime, if you have a Volkswagen Camper Dormobile conversion, we would love to publish pictures and stories of it here.
Just email us at: rides@dormobile-cars.com and we will happily devote a full page to you and your adventures here in our readers rides section just like we are doing for Rooster.
